[nosave] A: Don't go to the makeover with Mrs. Anderson or curse her out on Tuesday afternoon. As long as you're not voluntarily in the makeover, you should be able to call Billy and set up a meeting with him. <> :: Q: How do I get a date with Ethan? [nosave] A: Get made over on Tuesday night. When you go to dinner in the dress Mrs. Anderson selects, Ethan should ask you out. The only exception is if you had sex with Sean in public in gym class. In that case, he won't ask you out. <> :: Q: But I prefer less frequent, bigger updates! [nosave] A: I've never understood this complaint. If you want bigger, less frequent updates, you can easily provide this for yourself by not downloading every update. Just come back every couple of months instead. Indeed, if you're not a dedicated beta-tester or an obsessive completist, this is what I recommend. <> :: Q: Is there any way to avoid having such huge breasts? Do your choices affect what you end up looking like? [nosave] A: No, your choices don't affect what you end up looking like. For a male-to-female conversion, the Process simply takes your existing X chromosome and duplicates it. So Parker ends up looking how he would have looked had he been born female. (With a female-to-male conversion, the Y chromosome is simply constructed. Since that chromosome contains no genetic information, this isn't a problem.) Anyway, Parker's breasts aren't that big. Cup size is proportional to back size and Parker is small. Parker, when fully transformed, is a 32DD. This is not nearly so large as a 36DD or, even larger, a 38DD. I could point to many women with 32D breasts who think their breasts are small (not all of them, of course). Objectively, 32DD breasts would fit into the same size cup as 36C breasts. <> :: Q: In your latest update, I found this really obvious game-breaking bug in the new content. Don't you test at all? [nosave] A: Sometimes, but usually not. My releases are primarily meant for testing, not necessarily for providing new content. When I first started writing the game, I had to do a lot of testing of every path to make sure everything worked properly. This was time-consuming and (more importantly) deadly dull for me. When I realized after release that I had a dedicated group of people who would play through every update and report to me if anything was broken, I decided to take advantage of this. Also, I've gotten better at coding the conditional text as I write so the errors aren't as numerous as they once were. But I still occasionally make typos on variables or syntax so there's usually a bug or two in every release which are usually quickly reported and fixed. <> :: Q: How do I get the 'Sean in the shower'/'equipment manager' path? [nosave] A: There will probably be ways to get the equipment manager job without using this path eventually. For now, though, the equipment manager path leads through the "Sean in the shower" scene. You have to tease Sean into forcing the issue. So in the boys' bathroom scene on Monday, kiss Sean when he asks you to, but refuse to go any further. Then select boys' gym class and, on Tuesday, rub up against him while wrestling, but refuse to let him go any further. This gets you the "Sean in the shower" scene. On Wednesday, don't wear girls' clothes the next day or you'll get switched to girls' gym class. Stay in boys' gym class (even if you're biologically female). Hopefully, you should be able to figure out the rest from there. <> :: Q: How do I get a date with Sean while in the chastity belt? [nosave] A: As with the previous question, submit to Sean on Monday and Tuesday and be as nice as possible to him. You must transform on Tuesday night, either by accepting your femininity via the makeover or via dating Billy, since it's only available on the female path. On Wednesday, wear Belinda's outfit. Also, submit to Rachel in Wednesday's gym class. She should belt you and you'll be in it when you have the date with Sean. <> :: Q: How do I get a date with Sean? [nosave] A: Just be as submissive as possible to Sean. Going through the "Sean in the shower" scene (see above question) gives you a lot of different ways to get it. It is possible to get there with a more natural path. Submit to Sean on Monday and Tuesday and be as nice as possible to him. Then, on Wednesday, make sure you're wearing Belinda's outfit to school. When you run into him, do whatever he says. It is also possible to get a date with Sean even when choosing girls' gym class, but difficult and requires a very specific path. Submit to Sean on Monday. On Tuesday, stand up to Rachel in girls' gym class so you get the scene in Miss Beaumont's office. "Help Miss Beaumont out" and be nice to Leo. On Wednesday, you should get a scene with both Sean and Rachel in the locker room. Be nice to Sean and ignore Rachel. I don't think you need to wear Belinda's outfit on Wednesday, but it probably wouldn't hurt. This should get you a date with Sean. <> :: Q: Is there any way to avoid turning into a girl? I seem to end up with breasts no matter what I do! [nosave] A: It is certainly possible to avoid turning into a girl. However, it isn't possible to avoid //starting// to turn into a girl. Parker's conscious personality is recognized by the Process as a "female" one and so the Process will always begin changing him. However, the player can stop the transformation and reverse it a number of different ways. The major reason for why the Process must begin is because //The Masculine Mystique// is a story about transformation. "Boy moves to a new town and starts turning into a girl, but is able to defeat it" is a story. "Boy moves to a new town and doesn't turn into a girl" isn't. (Or at least not much of one.) <> :: Q: Just who is the player supposed to be? Parker seems to have his own personality and doesn't seem to perfectly obey commands. [nosave] A: I take the player to represent Parker's subconscious desires, which can be such that he isn't even consciously aware of them (or is even in denial about them). Many players are surprised when they select an option to find Parker obeys their command, but he narrates it as if he is carrying it out under duress. In those cases, Parker is an unreliable narrator whose desires, represented by the player, are in conflict with his conscious self-image so he is rationalizing his behavior. Take, for example, the scene on Monday in the boys' bathroom with Sean. If Parker sucks Sean off, Parker will narrate the whole thing as if he's being forced to do it against his will. Afterward, though, Belinda will insist that she (and everybody else) knows that Parker did it voluntarily. Belinda is correct and the player ought to know that she is correct. It is the player, after all, who gave Parker the order to comply in the first place. These "non-consensual" scenes are often confusing for new players, but that's what I mean by them. <> :: Q: Should I try to find every path in the game? [nosave] A: I'm not going to tell you not to, but I don't recommend it. Players should only play those paths which they think will be fun. (Only a very rare person will find every path in the game fun.) Some paths are designed for radically different players than others. This game was not designed as a "collect-all-the-endings" game. <> :: Q: Why are your updates so small? [nosave] A: Updates are meant for testing purposes. It's much easier to release small amounts of new content at a time frequently so people can report bugs to me and they can be quickly fixed. <> :: Q: Why is it taking you so long to write this? [nosave] A: Sorry about that, but I have a lot of other priorities. I love writing the game and I really want to finish it, but it may very well take me a long time. I have an active career, family obligations, etc. Even if I could devote myself to writing the game full-time, I wouldn't do it. I need to be in a fairly specific mood to write the game and thus I only spend a relatively small amount of time per week writing it, usually on the weekends. If waiting for updates is really agonizing for you, I suggest walking away for a couple of years and checking back then. With any luck, I'll have finished it. (That isn't something I can promise obviously. "The best laid schemes o' mice an' men / Gang aft agley" and all that.) I'm afraid this game has a //very// part-time writer and there is no real hope of that ever changing. I'm not urging people to walk away from the game though. An active community supporting the game is important to my motivation, but feel free to leave that to the more patient people if it's a real problem for you. <>
