Lord I've lost count of how many times I have and all the different ways I've tried to make the story work out. Would love to see an actual wrap up with a blow up with Emily and Parker ending up with Jacob. Yeh, Yeh, I know that isn't going to happen. But I also noticed that there didn't seem to be a counter tracking Parker's relationship with Jacob. Guess that scenario wasn't a possible one barabbas intended to explore. No, it was totally going to be possible for Parker to end up with Jacob. There just wasn't a need for a counter for him yet at the last release since there was no second scene with him (which is when the counter would come into play - to govern Jacob's reactions to Parker). I wasn't intending for that path to include a blow up with Emily exactly, though who knows how I would have written it had it come to that? ----- https://tfgames.site/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=336828#p336828 The following contains information on the intended endings for Mystique. Put into spoilers mostly for length, since there isn't really anything to spoil any longer. First of all, I want to say that all endings to Mystique were going to be happy endings. The Process is infallible, just as advertised, and Parker's subconscious (the player) should have told the Process what Parker wants. So whether she ends up as Rachel's sex slave or if he ends up as Belinda's lover or whatever, Parker was always going to wind up happy. There were never going to be any "bad ends" in Mystique. Before I get to the main part of the intended ending (which would have appeared in virtually every ending), a word about twists. There are three possible reactions to a twist: 1) Yes, I saw that coming. 2) Where the hell did that come from? 3) Ohh, I should have known! I strongly believe that a writer should be aiming for 3, but obviously if you're doing it right, some portion of your audience is going to have reaction 1. That's all right though, because, if it was reasonably difficult to figure out, that person feels clever about having spotted it. It's possible to avoid 1 entirely, but then you're always going to wind up with 2. I mention this because modern writers, particularly TV writers nowadays, seem to always end up with 2. Many people seem fine with that, but I very much am not. Twists should be logical extensions of what has gone before. I say all that, just because it's very clear that mondayschild had already made a decent guess at where I was going and that actually gratified me. If I was doing it right, it should have been guessable by particularly perceptive and alert readers. So here's the backstory: Mr. Anderson and Mr. Comstock (Parker's father) grew up together in Rosestead and were good friends. During the period when the Process starts having effect, Mr. Comstock began changing female. Mr. Comstock very much thought this was a bad thing and wanted to remain male. The teenage Mr. Anderson, taking pity on him, delved into his father's research and figured out how to reverse the Process and clear Mr. Comstock's system of the chemical nanobots. So Mr. Comstock remained male. As time went on, Mr. Anderson came to believe he had made a mistake. His friend was never very happy. He married a woman who was constantly cheating on him, to his distress, and never really settled into his life. However, he was a good father to his son Parker and Mr. Comstock made do with the life he had, living a decent but unfulfilled life and trying to find fulfillment in his job and raising his son. Then came the car accident. Mr. Comstock was not killed outright. His spinal cord was badly damaged, however, and he was never going to recover to live anything like a normal life. Rosalind contacted Mr. Anderson and Mr. Anderson rushed to his side. Of course, Mr. Anderson knew exactly what he needed to do. He reintroduced Mr. Comstock to the Process which rebuilt him to save his life, but of course also changed him into a woman, as the Process had always determined he should be. It was determined (wrongly, in the author's view, but necessary for the storytelling - yes, I am admitting it's a minor plot hole, but I was hoping to close it before I finished) that Parker should simply be informed that his father had died which, in a sense, he had. Mr. Comstock changed her name to Annabelle and moved into a wing of the Andersons' mansion which was closed off when Rosalind and Parker came to live there as well. The intention was to gradually let Parker get used to Rosestead and then inform him/her of Annabelle's existence. Meanwhile, Parker starts changing. Determined not to make the same mistake twice, Mr. Anderson lies to Parker about whether it's possible to reverse the Process and pretends that it isn't. If Parker is destined to be female, Mr. Anderson isn't going to interfere. So Parker really gets a happy ending. The tragedy of the last year is reversed and the Comstocks are reunited as a family. Depending on how other things went, Parker may have persuaded Mr. Anderson to revamp the Process in some way, shut down the Rosestead experiment as unethical, or perhaps continue with it as it is, depending on what the player prefers. (In that regard, some skill was going to be necessary. The Process should automatically give the player what he/she wants in terms of gender, etc., but how Rosestead finishes up wouldn't have been a gimme.) If anybody has any specific ending related questions they'd like answered, I'd be happy to answer them. I'll write up summaries of my intended "flash-forward" scene endings in the near future probably. ----- https://tfgames.site/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=338489#p338489 barabbas, I do have to ask about one branch in particular as it is nagging me. Don't feel obligated to respond or justify I just wanted to ask in case you have the explanation at hand. How would the double rape scenario (first the Sean and Leo in the locker room then Chief Johnson and Mr.Hilliard at the police station) end happily for Parker? I see sort of where it was leading with 'you were meant to be a slut' but up until that point Parker had (potentially) avoided sexual encounters and this result seems savage and unexpected. Every other detail in the game seemed absolutely perfect (even the forced feminization) but I just couldn't reconcile this in my mind. Anything you have to add is much appreciated. And, regardless, thank you for sharing your wonderful gift and this terrific story! That path was written at the suggestion of one of the readers here. It doesn't sit easily with the rest of the game which is why it's gated off and so hard to find. I would have figured out something or else spun it off into an alternate reality short story. On the other hand, I think it can be a happy ending even if Parker never consciously accepts that she wants what she's getting (in fiction anyway where we can have it be stipulated that she's really happy even if she doesn't accept it - obviously such a path is not remotely realistic so everybody here should please forbear pointing that out to me). ----- https://tfgames.site/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=345913#p345913 Well then, let's begin with Sean: Obviously, being under the control of a jerky bullying hormonal teenager would hardly be a happy ending. So the plan was to segment Sean's path into three, based on Parker's response to Sean's mother: 1) Sean's Girl - I called this path the Redemption of Sean Through Love. Sean isn't quite as bad as Rachel, but obviously he still needs some work. He needs to learn to be less narcissistic and more considerate of the people around him. In this path, Parker would help him do that and establish a roughly co-equal relationship with Sean. Sean is still Sean. He'd still be cocky, confident, etc., but he'd get better at relating to people. The planned ending was Sean's becoming the top salesman for Anderson Chemicals, using his natural charisma and leadership abilities to help Rosestead. (This ending wouldn't change much regardless of how Rosestead in general worked out.) The ending was probably going to be a flash forward to Parker's finding out she was pregnant with their first child. 2) Sean's Slut - This is the Redemption of Sean Through Obedience. As Sean's (and probably Rachel's) favorite pet, Sean would learn to focus his bullying on Parker (who loves it) and would become a better person to everyone else. This might also dovetail with the planned Redemption of Rachel Through Obedience path. A similar ending was planned. Sean would still become Anderson Chemicals's top salesman. If the player had indicated that Parker didn't mind being shared, she would be used as an "incentive" for potential customers. The flash forward scene was probably going to be a transaction where Sean shared Parker with one of his customers. 3) Sean's Girl and Slut - Obviously, this would just have been a combination of the above two paths. I have to say that I never thought either Ella or Sean's mother were formerly male. While I probably might have had some minor characters who had changed sexes in the Process, only Belinda of the major characters was meant to be a sex change. A character detail: in order to show the difference between Sean and Rachel, I was going to reveal (in a Belinda scene) that Leo had engaged in a dominance battle with Sean just as Ella had with Rachel. Ella, of course, was humiliated by Rachel and turned into her servant (obviously she is infuriated by this, since she's a domme). Leo just had to give an apology blowjob to Sean (in private, though Sean did let Belinda watch while hidden) and then Sean and Leo became best friends and Sean was happy to share his harem with Leo. This information would not have been available in every path - an example of how I intended that a player would have to play through all the paths in order to learn everything there was to learn about the characters. (Though any given path was meant to be a satisfying story in its own right.) For those who are interested, though pregnancy would have been off the table, these endings would still have been available to a Parker who decided to keep male genitalia. Sean is "completely straight" in that he has no interest in penises, but he is indifferent to what equipment his subs/lovers have as long as there are orifices available for his use. ----- https://tfgames.site/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=351379#p351379 Mr. Anderson's Backstory: As people have noticed, Mr. Anderson is quite a bit bigger than either his father or his children. Mr. Anderson was one of the earliest experiments of the Process and he was overdosed with testosterone. As a consequence, he needs to take regular doses of a special chemical which keeps his testosterone from going out of control and accounts for his rather extreme "manliness." This would play a significant part in storylines where conflict developed between Mr. Anderson and Parker over Rosestead. (I.e. Parker would find his stash and withhold his chemicals to get Mr. Anderson to listen to him. Mr. Anderson is usually reasonable, but set in his ways. This would be significant in paths where Parker wanted to either shut down the Process or alter the Process, particularly to allow the possibility of submissive males. I.e. in the Parker, community boy path, which would probably go almost exclusively through Emily. Currently the Process reads submissiveness as female. It once read dominance as male, but it was very obvious that this created unhappy males, so Dr. Anderson altered the Process. Generally, submissive people raised in Rosestead do associate submission with females so don't mind the sex change. But of course Parker wasn't raised in Rosestead. Moreover, there is probably some unconscious sexism going on. Unhappy submissives are harder for the Andersons to spot than unhappy doms.) ----- https://tfgames.site/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=354138#p354138 what about school slut path and belinda`s slave path? The ending to the Belinda's slave path was going to be a fast forward to ten years or so in the future when Mr. Anderson has retired to pursue his chemistry full time and Belinda has taken over as CEO of Anderson Chemical. She motivates her employees, most of whom are dom(me)s, by allowing them to dominate the CEO when they do exceptional jobs. Parker, of course, spends a great deal of his/her time under Belinda's desk. As for the school slut path, the pleasure of that is in the scenes getting to the end. I'm sure anyone here could write an ending scene to that, so I didn't have anything very specific in mind. ----- https://tfgames.site/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=357194#p357194 Rachel's backstory: Rachel's parents were both hard-charging career people. Rachel was raised by a nanny, whose name I don't remember, but it is somewhere in the game already. Her nanny spoiled her as a child and Rachel adored her. Rachel was traumatized when she woke up to hear noises and came downstairs to see her nanny being sexually dominated by both of her parents. Rachel's adoration then turned to contempt. Her parents, not being particularly suited to be parents, then allowed Rachel to grow into the entitled, spoiled bitch we all know and love. Of course, the story wasn't going to hit the reader over the head with this as I am now. Obviously I would have allowed the reader to draw their own conclusions about how this affected Rachel and what it means. ----- https://tfgames.site/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=399417#p399417 So I have to acknowledge that I'm just not going to write up any more scenes or endings. I've resolved the main storyline and the rest is just filling in details and I have to admit that I can't bring myself to do it. In any event, the reader's imagination is probably every bit as good for that sort of thing than what I would have written now that I have revealed my intentions for the main storyline. I did intend for it to be possible for Parker to remain male and submissive. He would have convinced Mr. Anderson that this was a flaw in the Process, just as the earlier flaw of not allowing dominant females had been. While this had not been a problem for Rosestead, Mr. Anderson would have acknowledged that people who would only be happy as male submissives certainly exist if they grew up in a culture outside of Rosestead, where gender identity is simultaneously more and less flexible. The Emily path was intended to go down a whole NTR route if the player so desired (Mr. Anderson would have seduced Emily to try to convince her to stop interfering - it was after all Mr. Anderson's pheromones which were having such a powerful effect on Emily when she was in the Andersons' mansion). This path too could have eventually led to the paragraph above since most would-be male submissives would have been in the Emily path. I did not have any particular models in mind for any of the characters. My own visual imagination is usually pretty fuzzy. I'll be sticking around for a couple of weeks if anyone wants to ask any more questions. After that, I'm afraid I only rarely visit the site any more. ----- https://tfgames.site/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=399435#p399435 What would the Emily route be like if the NTR direction was not taken? You don't have to do huge details for anything just a couple sentences so I can do a something from there. It would still have been possible to win over Mr. Anderson, though it would have been done through conflict rather than seduction with the drugs Mr. Anderson has to take daily as the key to winning that conflict. Emily and Parker would have convinced him to listen to their side through threats although I also had in mind a path in which Parker is the one who seduces Mr. Anderson at Emily's direction, but I hadn't worked out the details yet. Ultimately, Emily would have made a good Mistress for Parker. Like all the doms (and all the characters) in the game, Emily is flawed and I certainly understand the average reader's skepticism about her motives and intentions, but the story was intended to be a bildungsroman for a number of the characters - Parker, Sean, Rachel, Emily, Belinda, Ethan, etc. And the paths involving Rachel and Julia. I'd like some idea of how those were going to turn out. And here we see the problem. In the end, even though my structure was designed to keep multiple paths manageable (by creating a trunk story which remained the same while some paths branched out while returning), I still ended up creating far too many paths. A number of paths were going to be possible with Rachel and Julia: a Parker/Rachel/Julia hierarchy, a Rachel/Parker/Julia hierarchy, even a Rachel/Julia/Parker hierarchy. Or just Parker steals Julia away from Rachel. If Rachel ends up as the domme, she would have ended up a good Mistress for Parker as well (still hard and strict, but more loving and less selfish and cruel). ----- https://tfgames.site/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=399586#p399586 I have often pointed out that, with Sean, a Parker who resists is not actually all that badly treated by Sean. He goes out of his way to avoid hurting Parker physically if, for example, Parker assaults him when Sean is sexually harassing Parker. So when people want a revenge path for Sean, they actually want to punish Sean for paths which the player has not actually taken (i.e. the submissive Parker paths where Parker gives in to Sean's sexual harassment and is dominated and bullied by Sean). However, this is not so with Rachel who kicks Parker in the nads if he tries to resist her. So some measure of revenge against Rachel is appropriate if the player so desires. I'm going to enclose the rest in spoilers based on "Death of the Author" theory (which I don't actually believe, by the way). For those who want a pure dominant Rachel and have no desire to see what such a path would have been like, please don't read. You have been warned. At the beginning of the game, Parker is vastly inferior to Sean in any physical confrontation and also fairly inferior to Rachel in such a confrontation. Rachel is a girl of decent size and musculature and extremely aggressive (plus she's not afraid to fight dirty) and Parker doesn't stand much of a chance. In a male Parker path, this will change at least if Parker is diligent at learning his wrestling. Not only can Parker learn the basics of fighting, but he also will get larger and more muscular, as aided by the Process. He would still be quite inferior to Sean, of course, but these gains would allow him to catch up to Rachel. The scene in my head was always a confrontation between Rachel and Parker, surrounded by Rachel's minions. This path is one of the few which could have resulted in a "Bad End" for Parker, since Parker could agree to a fight with Rachel with the stakes of "winner takes the loser." It wouldn't have been that bad an end. He would simply lose the fight and be humiliated and I would probably have just faded to black with a "Try Again" message. It's not like it would have meant he would be Rachel's slave forever or anything. However, if Parker had both a high enough fighting ability and a high enough seduction ability (i.e. dominance, as given to him by Molly or Belinda or whoever), then Parker would have been able to pin Rachel and get her so hot in the process that she begs him to take her. After relieving her of her anal virginity in front of her minions which provides Rachel with by far the most powerful orgasm of her life, Parker would either be able to keep her or return her to Sean. If the latter, Sean wouldn't be too fussed about the liberties Parker has taken since A) Rachel challenged him and lost fair and square, knowing the stakes and B) he would now have a much more pliable and tractable girlfriend. The female path would obviously differ considerably since now Parker is getting smaller and weaker, not larger. Parker thus needs to rely on A) her wits and B) her seductive powers. Fortunately, female Parker's DNA has been blessed with more of both than Rachel has. The key to defeating Rachel would be to remove her support structure, seducing away Julia and Ella and getting them onto Parker's side, showing them how much better things would be with a tough but fair dominant rather than a sadistic and cruel one. The key to this path would be to successfully hide what you're doing from Rachel so she doesn't blow up the plan too early. The climactic scene would have been a Test where Parker asserts her pheromones are more dominant than Rachel's and Mrs. Donovan forces Rachel to submit to the Test. If Parker's dominance is high enough by then, Rachel would lose. ----- https://tfgames.site/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?p=437378#p437378 ssm0use wrote: Mon Jan 15, 2018 9:14 am Still looking at it does nothing to remove the level of Mystique about this game.
