:: Talking with Emily But you'll have to excuse me. This is just an impossible story to believe. It's just too much to take in all at once. I mean, I can believe some crazy person is messing with the hormones in the water and it feminizes people, but //selectively// and it actually changes, well, you know? I mean, come on..." she says. "It's true, though," you say. "Most of the men around here aren't feminized; they're actually much more manly." "Well, maybe it's just the water in this house," she says. "You haven't seen Mr. Anderson," you remark. "Well, maybe it's just you then. Maybe //he's// giving it to you," she says. You shake your head. "No, I'm sure that's not it." "How do you know?" she asks. "I'm just pretty sure he's not, is all," you say. "Well, leave all that aside for the moment and let's assume that everyone here has been telling you the truth," she says. "The important thing is what are we going to do about it." You perk up at her use of the word "we." "Now Mr. Anderson said that this Process..." She makes finger quotes as she says "Process." "...somehow determines your innermost desires or something, right, and changes you if you'd be happier being a girl?" "Yes," you respond. <>"And Miss Beaumont said the same thing, right?" "Yes," you say. "She said I had to figure out why I'd be happier being a man and then magnify it somehow." <>"Well then," she says, "the solution is simple. We just have to stop you from wanting to be a girl." "But I //don't// want to be a girl!" you whine. "Consciously, no. But you might subconsciously," Emily says. "This is assuming we believe all this mumbo-jumbo, of course. But it doesn't matter. What I'm about to propose won't do you any harm even if all of this is so much BS." "What do you propose?" you ask. "Well, you know my father's a psychologist?" she says. "Sure. Do you think he can help?" you ask eagerly. "Better," she says. "I can. He does a lot of hypnotherapy and I've read his books on the subject extensively. I've even used hypnosis on my little brother. Of course, you have to want to do it and it's more or less effective depending on how suggestible a subject you are." "And hypnosis can't make you do anything you don't want to do, right?" you ask. "Of course it can't," she says. "It's perfectly safe. So just let me hypnotize you and I'll convince your mind that you want to stay a boy and don't want to be a girl." You ponder this. There doesn't seem to be any risk involved, but you're not certain about letting Emily hypnotize you. She is your girlfriend, but you haven't gotten //that// close. [[Let her hypnotize you.]] [[Turn down her offer.]]
