[[Emily]] looks at you with a strange look and you're not sure whether or not she believes you.  "If you say so, Parker, but you<<if $emily.called>> sure sounded awfully anxious on the phone," she replies.<<else>>r mother sure sounded awfully anxious about you when she called me," she replies.<<endif>>

<<if $emily.called>>"No really, it was nothing," you say.  "Forget all about that."<<else>>"Yeah, she can be a little hyper-sensitive.  She probably just thought I was lonely and missing you is all," you say.<<endif>>

She looks at you dubiously, but lets it slide.  "Well," she says, "do you want to show me around the house?  It looks stunning."

You consider this.  On the one hand, it would seem pretty rude if you didn't, but on the other, you're not sure you want her to meet Belinda or your mother for that matter.
