[[You]] pick up the phone and call your friend Billy.

"Yo," he says.

"Billy, this is Parker," you say.

"Parker?  You sound different somehow," he says.  <<if not $emily.called>>Damn, you forgot how much higher your voice is now.<<endif>>

"Yeah, I've been a little under the weather," you say, not wanting to explain all that now.  The two of you engage in small talk for a bit as Billy fills you in on what's been going on in your old town and school for the last week.

"Hey," you say, "I don't want to talk about why I called right now, but could you come out to Rosestead and pick me up?"

"Sure, dude.  Where do you want to go and when should I be there?" he says.

"Let's talk about where to go when you get here.  Just pull up at the front drive at about eight o'clock and I'll meet you there.  Don't try to come in to the house and, whatever you do, don't drink anything you get from Rosestead," you say.

"Okay, now you're freaking me out a little, but you know I'll be there," Billy says.

"Thanks a lot, man," you respond.  "See you then."

You hang up the phone and spend a little time trying and failing at your trigonometry homework until it's time to get ready for dinner.<<set $billy.called = true>>
